The Promise - Masculine Valentine's card for Lost Coast Designs/Carmen's Veranda DT!

Howzit Everyone!
Valentine's Day is just around the corner and our February Challenge, #33, over at Lost Coast Portal to Creativity is "Lovers"!  Here's my Lost Coast Designs - Carmen's Veranda design team project to inspire you and if you'd like to know more about how I made this card please pop on over to Lost Coaster's Review!

Some find making Valentine's Day cards suitable for the guys a challenge so I've stayed away from the traditional lovey dovey in red and white and have been creating more masculine styled cards.  See my V-Day card I shared on Friday that was the perfect combination of masculine and feminine and today I have another using the same set of masculine decorative papers but this time featuring Gustav Klimt's "The Kiss" by Carmen's Veranda.

I used the following supplies on this one:
 Carmen's Veranda Klimt Kiss
Lost Coast Designs Misc. Words set
Mixed media cardstock
Black cardstock for the mats and folded card
Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
Copics
Metallic gold, silver and copper gel pens
Metallic Green Promarker
Black Soot and Walnut Distress Crayons
Spellbinders mega Deckled rectangle dies
Silver rub-on creme
DCWV decorative papers
Self adhesive black diamonds
Pop dots and Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive

Thanks for stopping by to see my project today!
Happy Stamping!

VALENTINE - The East Wind DT

Howzit Everyone!
Some big changes have happened over at The East Wind!  We are concentrating more on promoting Unky's fabulous new release images and only hosting a couple of Challenges this year.  Today we have a Challenge for February to kick off our new schedule and the theme is Love and Romance!

Everyone needs ideas for making more masculine Valentine's Day cards for the guys so here's my design team project for the challenge, a masculine card featuring this lovely digi called Aurora "Be My Valentine".  I printed her out onto Neenah solar white cardstock, coloured with Copics and added white Dylusion paint pen highlights.  I fussy cut her out and adhered her to the layered panels with Scotch Quick Dry adhesive which were adhered to the folded card with pop dots.  I made the folded card from a sheet of black cardstock and also decorated the inside of the card with more of the stripe decorative paper.

I juxtaposed the lovely feminine image with the use of masculine black, white and gray decorative paper combined with metal alphabet paper clip embellishments to spell out the word "Valentine" plus 2 self adhesive black diamonds.  It's the perfect combination of a masculine card with a feminine focal point.

Come and enter our February challenge for the chance to win gorgeous The East Wind digis and join us over in our The East Wind Facebook Group too!

Delicious February Planner Pages - Delicious Doodles DT!

Hiya Everyone!
It's time to come and play in our February Challenge over at Delicious Doodles Challenges!  Our theme this month is completely open but we are challenging you to create something other than a card this month!  So basically all is welcome except cards!  Easy peasy!

I'm busy creating a 2017 DT Planner to keep track of all my DT deadlines, etc.  The cover is that gorgeous Delicious Doodles digi of Edgar Allan Poe I previously shared HERE.
Today I'm showing you my pages for February.  Each page of my planner will be mounted onto larger cardstock pages with additional places for project sketches and pockets etc.

I used the 2 February pages from Delicious Doodles new "The Colourists Year Planner" which is a printable PDF colouring book available in the DD Etsy store.  I printed the two pages out onto Neenah Solar White cardstock and coloured the designs with Copics in shades of reds and yellow/greens and black backgrounds to make everything look bold and rich.

Thanks for stopping by to see my project today!
 Happy Stamping!
