Part 2 of White on White Embossed and Die Cut Layered Art Cards - A Blockheads Design Team Tutorial!

Howzit Stampers!

Here's part 2 of my creative adventures into designing White on White Layered Art Cards.  I've been having a blast playing with textures and shadows by using white on white cardstock that has been embossed and die cut.

Yesterday I posted the first card in the series, a luxurious 'Congratulations' art card worthy of very special occasions like weddings, engagements and anniversaries!

Today's card is equally as stunning and this time I've featured the large upper case word 'DREAM' from Blockheads Paper Arts Versus Full Sheet set of stamps.  The word 'DREAM' makes this art card suitable for pretty much any occasion but especially fitting for occasions that celebrate the beginning of new adventures!

I started out by embossing the Patchwork design from the T!m Holtz Texture Fades Bingo/Patchwork set on the front of a white square folded card.

The Patchwork design didn't go all the way across the card so I layered a strip of the daisy embossed cardstock (Cuttlebug embossing folder) I had left over from the 'Congratulations' art card down the right hand side.  I then cut out the T!m Holtz Alterations Weathered Clock from a creamy shade of white cardstock and adhered it to the card front with All Night Media Micro White pop dots.

I used the clock to symbolizes that we have all the time in the world to dream!

I then stamped the word 'Dream' onto white cardstock, the same shade as folded card, in Onyx Black Versafine ink and cut and embossed the small label with a deckle Spellbinders die.  I adhered the label to the card with regular pop dots.  I then adhered 3 paper daisies in place with glue dots and a self-adhesive silver daisy Class A Peel to the label too.

I finished off my card by continuing with the daisy theme and embellished the top right and bottom corners of the card with white brads and decorated them with a larger version of the Class A Peel silver daisies.  I actually removed the metal arms of the brads and adhered just the brad tops to the card with glue dots.

I hope you are enjoying my White on White Embossed and Die Cut Layered Art Card tutorials so far!  I've got more to share over the next couple of days so don't go any where ;0)
Happy stamping and have a great weekend!

  1. Sooo pretty, Leigh! I just love the effect you achieved with the layers of white. I am going to take a shot at this technique for wedding and anniversary cards. TFS
