A Walk in The Woods - Lost Coast DT card

Howzit Friends
It's my turn to share a DT project over on Lost Coaster's Review, our DT blog where we share a new project every 2nd day.  I've made a whimsical manga card.

Today I'm featuring two of Lost Coast Designs newest stamps, Manga Goth Dots and Grunge Tree.  Both are available on the New Images page HERE!  I hope my card will tempt you to add these 2 to your collection!

I stamped Manga Goth Dots with Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto Neenah solar white cardstock suitable for Copics, then again on scrap paper which I fussy cut out to use as a mask.  I used a small removable adhesive glue dot to keep the mask in place and stamped the Grunge Tree background with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.  To create the watercolour effect I used a Dove Blender pen and controlled the amount of bleed just by how much I rubbed over the areas.  I coloured the Manga girl with Copics and added metallic gold detailing to her dress, jewelry and boots.  I just love how fun the buckle and details make her boots, I'm a boot junky so I think these rock LOL!  To add to the whimsy I used a Vive Pearl Magic Transparent White pen to add sparkle to the roses and to create the 3D water droplets in the top and bottom right hand corners.

I trimmed the panel to the size of the Grunge Tree frame and distressed the edges with Tim's paper distresser tool to reveal raw white edges.  The panel was then adhered to black and then dark red mats which were cut using my Perfect Layers tools by Perfect Paper Crafting.   If you're not familiar with these tools then you need to check them out ASAP coz they're awesome!  They completely eliminate the need for measuring and cardstock waste coz you get the perfect sized mat every time!  Click HERE to order and use coupon code LBrunton to get 10% off your entire order!

To complete my card I added the gold cord and tiny bow before adhering everything to a folded card blank.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
Happy Stamping!
