Howzit Stamping Friends!
Today I'm sharing my design team inspiration project showcasing The East Wind's June Newsletter freebie, Aurora "Thinking Head". If you love lots of glorious hair to colour then you'll love this digi. I had so much fun colouring her hair in shades of red.
Her top and both arms are a fussy cut layer that I adhered with pop dots in various thicknesses so that her hand next to her face is the lowest point and her left elbow the highest point, ie the thickest pop dot. This give the finished card a fun tapered 3D effect. It's really hard to capture how cool it looks in real life though.
I printed her out onto Neenah cardstock and coloured her with Copics with white Dylusions paint pen highlights. I also applied clear Wink of Stella to the bows on her top for a touch of shimmer. I used Walnut and Black Soot Distress Crayons blended with water to create the background and trimmed the card and fussy cut out the upper portion of the image leaving a narrow border. I then made a folded card from black cardstock and adhered her with Aleene's Fast Grab adhesive. I then outlined the fussy cut upper portion with white Dylusions paint pen leaving a narrow black border and fussy cut out just the front of the black card. The green watercolour background was done with Nuance pigment powders by Magenta which I then adhered to the inside of the card. I completed the card with self-adhesive black pearls in 3 different sizes.
