MY DARK VALENTINE BLOG HOP Day 4: Queen of Hearts

Howzit Stamping Friends!
Before I share my project for today I'd like to express my sympathies to everyone impacted by the Florida shootings, my thoughts and prayers are with you all😢

We're now on Day 4 of the MY DARK VALENTINE Blog Hop I'm hosting over on my LeighSBDesigns Inspiration Blog!  It's a 5 day hop ending at 5 to midnight on Feb 16th so there's still time to come and join the fun.  There's no need to sign up, you can play each of the remaining days or just one day, totally up to you or just enjoy the show by hopping and leaving lots of love on all the entries, sharing and hopping is what it's all about after all!

Even old projects are welcome as long as they're re-blogged in new posts and you include all the hop details, a link to LeighSBDesigns Inspiration Blog and the Blog Hop Roll.  Everything you need to know and full instructions are up on the MY DARK VALENTINE Blog Hop page!

The Blog Hop Roll is above at the top of my blog and at the bottom of this post.

I'm sharing some of my old faves on this blog and today I'm re-sharing this card featuring my absolute favorite Ike's Art digi, the fabulously wicked Queen of Hearts!  I had the pleasure of being a guest designer for Ike with this card back in August 2017!

I love making tall and skinny cards and love doing fancy cut outs and combined both on this card.

I coloured this dark and twisty version of the Queen of Hearts in Paper 53 with a stylus on my ipad.  I then printed her out onto Neenah Solar white cardstock and added the background with brown Derwent Pastel pencil blended with a Dove blender pen.

I trimmed down the panel and folded the cardstock in half to create the tall thin card.  I then fussy cut out the right hand side.  To complete the card I adhered black cardstock inside and trimmed it down leaving a 1/4 inch border on the top, bottom and right hand side but didn't leave a border around the fussy cut section.  To balance the card I finished it by applying Black Soot Distress Ink to the fold down the left side.

I couldn't resist re-sharing this photo of Neo checking it out it again too😋

Thanks for stopping by to see my project today!
Happy Hopping!
